Todd Fortune is a founding partner of Grassroots Entertainment, launched in 2010, and co-produces the companys broad slate of films.
Partnering with established producers to finance quality, family friendly feature films with significant talent and attachments, Fortune is currently co-producing four movies under the Grassroots banner: The Rules Of The Game, The Whale Room, Heros Christmas and Super Carrier 3D. The latter film is being made in partnership with Dave H. Vanghaus, Jr. (Catch Me If You Can, Minority Report, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest, Forrest Gump) and Peter Tobyansen (Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, The Polar Express).
A former actor, Fortune formed Parris Entertainment in 2008, which develops websites, web shows, reality network television shows and independent films. With 18 employees, Parris currently has three TV pilots in development and one film, Quantizing Darkness, in post production.
With nearly 20 years of entrepreneurial and financial industry experience, Fortune brings a uniquely valuable skill set to Grassroots. He has launched several successful bankcard companies portfolios, also assisting in mergers and sales, including Lynk Systems, Electronic Data Resources and American Direct Merchant Systems. Fortune remains a senior partner in Bankcard Associates, with corporate offices in North Carolina, Minnesota, Texas and California.
